Since 1965 Arts Richmond has been an active member of the cultural life in this vibrant borough and have always championed how extremely lucky the residents of the borough are to have such a thriving ‘arts’ scene on their door step.
Many years ago Arts Richmond set up the annual young persons Poetry Competition which is now the very popular Young Writers Festival, with 800-900 entries each year. Under the umbrella of Arts Richmond many local drama, literature, music, art and history societies benefit from the borough coverage that Arts Richmond gives them. Acknowledging the variety of drama groups across the borough Arts Richmond designed the annual Drama Awards which has proved to be very successful and is a fixture in the thespian calendar.
Along with many other initiatives, the Art Tent, at the May Fair on Richmond Green, show cases the high quality of local artists.
Arts Richmond has steadfastly supported its affiliated societies and their disciplines which enrich our lives with just one paid person in the office. All other members, Chair, Committee members and Trustees, are all volunteers.
Giving a legacy gift to Arts Richmond would aid our work and help leave a lasting impact for future generations and ensure that the next generation enjoy the arts.
Your solicitor can guide you through the process of making any form of legacy and if you wish to have an informal chat with an Arts Richmond Trustee please contact the office. Info@artsrichmond.org.uk
