Pain Relief by Jackie Howting

Moan, Groan, Moan that’s all I seem to do!
Hip hurts…  mind you that comes in spurts.
Knee! Back! Oh don’t go on …
Let’s be honest, it’s most joints all way along!

Do I spy a daff? A crocus and some buds?
Longer days, lighter nights. Positivity’s growing.
Spring is spinning all around: bright colours and lovely smells,
Cut grass from neighbour’s mowing.
Feelings of happiness, suddenly evolving!

When that old current bun finally appears
Its massaging power,  I know, will stop all moans and groans
But for now, I’ll just enjoy listening to beautiful birds sing
and make the most of this wonderful season of Spring.
