Can't Catch You
How did you just come in the house?
You came in even quieter than a mouse!
I didn't even notice that you were here
At least, you didn't make me jump with fear
You always like to do your own thing
Though, I never hear you whistle or sing
You move around, aimlessly, to and fro
With several rooms where you can go
You seem to have, totally, no responsibility
It must be wonderful to be footloose and free
At times, I can't catch you no matter how I try
Who called you "Daddy Longlegs", you cranefly?
