Black
Black is my mood when all seems turned against me.
Black are my thoughts of those who do me wrong.
Black is no colour, black is all colours.
Rembrandt could paint in many shades of black.
Black is the colour of grief, of mourning.
Black is the hole in which I shed my tears.
Black is darkness, fear and loneliness.
But in darkness also we may find sleep.
For black is the night and the time for parties.
Black cabs, black tie and the little black dress.
Black cats are lucky, black is beautiful.
Were night not black we could not see the stars.
