Strut & Fret Theatre Company

Strut & Fret enjoyed many successful years on both the London and Edinburgh fringes during the 1990s.  Our debut production of ‘Noises Off’ played to sell-out audiences and received a five-star review from 'The Scotsman': “it is difficult to imagine any show on the Fringe funnier than this”.

Subsequent shows were equally popular and well-received, and the company took up residency at the Tabard Theatre (now the Chiswick Playhouse) in the late 1990s.

After a while away, Strut & Fret was re-born in March 2019 with our hugely successful and critically acclaimed production of Ronald Harwood's 'The Dresser' at Hampton Hill Theatre (in partnership with Blue Fire Theatre Company).

Our planned revival of 'Noises Off' at the 2020 Edinburgh Fringe was scuppered by Covid-19, but we leapt out of lockdown with a new show ('Maybe It's Because') as part of the Camden Fringe Festival in August 2021.  Our three-night run at the Canal Cafe Theatre played to the venue's highest capacity for the entire festival, and is due to be revived in south west London in 2022.  We also have plans for other, more ambitious shows later in the year.  Watch this space!
