Blue Fire Theatre Co.
Blue Fire was formed in late 2017 with the express purpose of producing small-scale plays, specifically about theatrical heritage and the lives of both real and imaginary characters from the world of entertainment through the ages.
The company takes particular satisfaction in subverting history to focus on lesser-known characters, consigning their more famous contemporaries to supporting roles.
Our current repertoire includes "Kemp's Jig", the story of Shakespeare's clown and his 9 day Morris Dance from London to Norwich (and if yu believe it only took 9 days you'll believe anything!). and "Marie Lloyd Stole My Life", a new one person play devoted to the memory of Nelly Power, one of the Victorian Music Hall's biggest stars.
We also lead guided walks around Clerkenwell and Islington. These are led by Lottie Walker, a qualified Islington Guide. Sometimes tours with a theatrical bent are led by the one and only Nelly Power, too!
