President's Talk: Tracy Borman

21 Oct 2021
6:00 pm

Our President Tracy Borman, best-selling author, historian, and broadcaster will give an illustrated on-line talk on the history and places that inspired her latest novel, The Fallen Angel. Locations include the Tower of London and Hampton Court, where she works as Chief Curator.

In the final instalment of the King’s Witch series Frances Gorges, a noblewoman living at King James I’s court, is under suspicion of witchcraft and involvement in the Gunpowder Plot.  She and her family now face a new threat in the form of the king’s great favourite George Villiers, Duke of Buckingham, who has the face of an angel and the cunning heart of a devil.

Come along on Thursday, October 21st from 6-7pm to learn more about the dark, dangerous, and often depraved world of the Stuart court and the ruthless and charismatic man who brought England and its king to the brink of destruction.
