Make a Real Mug of Yourself

2 hour sessions
SW13 0DQ

Ceramics class at Wurkshop, Barnes. 14th October 7.15-9.15pm and 21st October 7.15-8.45pm

In this fun and engaging class, you will learn a host of hand-decorating techniques to realise your own (or someone else's) face in ceramic mug form. Surely there can be no greater pleasure than enjoying a relaxing mug of tea or coffee from a mug you have made?

Students will be provided with a basic press-moulded mug shape and will craft features such as eyes, mouth and a nose, the base and handle. You will use a clay extruder, and learn different techniques to create however you choose your mug to look.

This is a tactile, satisfying, fun and social way to spend an evening.

In this two session class, students will then return a week later once the mugs have been kiln fired, to decorate the pieces using a variety of underglazes and stains.

This is a great ceramics class for beginners but also those wanting to learn some different clay techniques.
