    The Hare and the Tortoise and other tales from Aesop

    Aesop’s Fables is an exciting collection of tales, all told with wood-carved marionettes, culminating in the evergreen classic The Hare and the Tortoise. Other stories feature storms to be weathered, ferocious lions to be overcome, and a group of daredevil mice who plot to hoodwink the cat. As ever with Aesop, there are always a few morals to take away.

    Suitable for everyone down to 3 year olds.

    August 9 to August 19* DAILY at 2.30pm (*relaxed performance on August 13)

    A terrifying encounter with an escaped convict forever changes the life of the orphaned Pip. Turning his back on his humble beginnings, he strives to better himself and become a gentleman, unaware of the hidden dangers that await him.
     
    Ormerod and Donnellan’s ingenious adaptation of Dickens’ celebrated novel brings to the stage an unforgettable cast of characters.

    Performed by Rose Youth Theatre and Rose Players as a community production.
