Red Peppers by Noel Coward
Blue Fire Theatre Co. make their Edinburgh Fringe debut with an all-new production of Noel Coward's "Red Peppers"
"Red Peppers" is a glimpse into the life of George and Lily Pepper, a husband and wife music hall double act who have been stuck with their tired old vaudeville act - and with each other - for more years than they care to remember. With tempers as fiery as their red wigs George & Lily's marriage is a constant, spiteful sparring match that is very funny for the observor - as long as you don't get caught in the crossfire!
The play is an hysterical yet poignant study of both a marriage and an industry in decline. It features singing, dancing, possibly the corniest jokes ever written and a supporting cast of theatrical caricatures the like of whom we'll not see again.
The play opened to rave reviews in 1935, with one saying "in this burlesque Coward reveals vividly his remarkable powers of observation and fine satire". The rapier wit of Coward has not diminished over time and Geoga and Lily's predicament will resonate with couples of all ages.
We perform at the excellent Space on the Mile (Venue 39), which is fully air conditioned. The venue, is in the Radisson Blu hotel, which has a lovely bar so come along and quaff a sophisticated cocktail before or after the show.
Tickets are available from the Fringe Box Office: https://tickets.edfringe.com/whats-on/red-peppers

Red Riding Hood
The much-loved story of Little Red Riding Hood is given a new and humorous twist in the tale, in this specially commissioned version by prize-winning author Deborah Jones. The Granny is arty but forgetful, Red Riding Hood is fearful but feisty and the Wolf as dark and mysterious as his forest. Using a combination of marionettes and shadow puppets, this is a magical show that will enchant both children and adults alike.

Gilbert O'Sullivan in Concert - Just Gilbert
As creative now as he has ever been across a glittering career, the past few years have seen Gilbert O’Sullivan play live shows across the UK with his band, full orchestral performances in his native Ireland and explore Latin music. The iconic songwriter has continued to look to the future while his famous back catalogue has, as ever, won him the respect and adoration of fellow musicians and audiences all over the world. To coincide with his latest, formidable self-titled album, due for release on the day he performs at the Landmark, Gilbert will be performing three rare solo concerts (this is the only London date) that will see him present new songs alongside classics such as ‘Alone Again (Naturally’), ‘Nothing Rhymed’ and ‘Clair’ in an intimate, acoustic setting.
