      MIE presents Gareth Lockrane

MIE presents its second of jazz concerts at this wonderful venue.

1901 Arts Club is a beautiful and unique venue very close to Waterloo Station, which was converted from an old schoolmaster’s house. The tastefully decorated concert salon, inspired by Europe’s Salon culture, houses a Steinway grand piano and can cater for an audience of up to 45. There is a stylish bar and lounge area with a late night licence where audience members can relax before or after the performance.

      Gareth Lockrane - flutes

      Terence Collie - piano

      Richard Sadler - bass

"Lockrane's flute work is exceptional, combining a relaxed fluidity on the one hand with an acute adventureness on the other..." Peter Quinn, Jazzwise

"The formidable Lockrane...a stunning display of sharp-accented runs, earthy whoops and constantly refrshed melodic ideas" John Fordham, The Gaurdian
