Christmas words

Missing Toe and wine
     Cliff’s song with corrupted word
Christmas in decline

Christmas laughter

Christmas calls
   Despite Corona cares
Children’s bright laughter flares.

Acorns

Sacred Oak of Zeus
   When forest covered the lands
Little acorns grew. 

Memories

Christmas is for life.
   A memory store and more.
Breathe it in and out.  

Loneliness

It is Covid time
   The Christmas cracker hat sits
Lone upon his head     

Yuletide

Another Christmas 
   Badly handmade paper chains
Yuletide revelries     

Northern Lights

Christmas lights ignite
   Black Aurora Foxtail Skies
Awe-inspiring sights

Christmas Past and Present

 Our Christmases past,
    Festive freedom together.
 Not Christmas present.

Shutdown

Yuletide shutdown
   Leisure to complete
My tax return.

Years’ End 

Silent Night again
   marks despairing year’s ending.
Hope germinates now.

Anticipation
   Child’s delight for Christmas Day
Santa’s on his way
