Lock & Unkey
Heart was securely locked away
for two decades long, give or take a day
the time right now, as good as any
to share with the few and maybe the many!
The scars, though faint, were fully healed
each beat of her heart, its colours revealed
the red, the yellow, the violet and white
as it pulsed, it bled - what a beautiful sight
Feeling the pain meant she wasn’t quite dead
She would love again - and not lose her head.
