Twickenham Art Circle

Forthcoming events - Twickenham Art Circle>

The Circle was formed in 1948 by a group of friends who decided to meet together to paint and draw. Today it has around 140 members.

Our Winter Programme runs from September to March when we meet once or twice a month on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, to paint or draw still life or the human figure in the studio. Demonstrations or tutored sessions by professional artists or teachers are also normally included. See ‘WINTER PROGRAMME’

In the summer we meet fortnightly on a Saturday morning to paint or draw the landscape at various local outdoor locations. Some of these meetings mix painting with social get-togethers.
See ‘SUMMER PROGRAMME’

Reports on these events can be viewed in
‘PAINTING & DEMO DAYS’ on our website.

We hold at least one exhibition each year allowing members to exhibit and sell their works. Additionally, members may submit works to exhibitions sponsored by artsrichmond (Richmond upon Thames Arts Council) to which TAC is affiliated.

We always welcome new members of whatever background or level of experience (see Membership page). We would particularly like to see more younger members and also sculptors and potters as well as painters. You may show examples of your work in our
‘MEMBERS GALLERY’ at a small extra cost per picture.

Every year we hold a Christmas Party at a reasonable cost for our members.

We are very happy for prospective new members to come along to one of our Winter or Summer Programme sessions, without any obligation to join. Please contact our Hon. Secretary Maurice Jones  first for more details;  mauricejones@waitrose.com
