Shakespeare in Italy is a charity dedicated to advancing the arts, specifically drama, for the benefit of all.

Our aim is to enliven the experience of Shakespeare’s Italian plays with an exciting mix of British realism and Italian intensity to share with everyone.

Here's our new online platform to entertain and stimulate during the lockdown - #playreadings #sonnetslams #pubquizzes and much more -

The new company will continue to explore this through performances in the UK, Italy and beyond after the pandemic as well as via a programme of education and outreach in schools, community centres, prisons and theatres.

Our first production will be in 2021 - a new small scale version of the original text called 'A Merchant of Venice' adapted and directed by RSC Honorary Associate Artist Bill Alexander. It will be at The Playground Theatre, Latimer Road, W10 6RQ in North Kensington.

Bill led a Masterclass with former #DramaStudioLondon students on March 2nd from 2 - 4.30 with the last half hour for questions at The Playground Theatre.
