Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance
RambertSchool is a world-leading training and educational institution, with an international reputation for promoting excellence and innovation in ballet and contemporary dance and a commitment to enabling and realising the potential of every student. The School is renowned for producing creative, versatile, forwardthinking and professional dancers who go on to work at all levels of the industry across the world.
Rambert School delivers a unique dual-focused training model – a degree course, with an equal emphasis on ballet and contemporary dance, the FD/BA (Hons) Degree in Ballet & Contemporary Dance and in 2017 launched Rambert2, an MA in Professional Dance Performance, in collaboration with Rambert dance company. The University of Kent validates both programmes.
Rambert School engages with a wide audience, in the local community and beyond, in a number of ways. Every week 140+ participants aged 2.5 years and up attend a programme of dance classes for Children, Young People and Adults, and an average of 150 international participants attend the Summer Courses each year. The School engages with members of the community and pupils from local schools and
colleges through Open Dress Rehearsals, ASPIRE, a programme of student-led workshops, and Insight visits.
