Join the St Michael’s Players for a play which entices you in with a ghost story but holds your attention with the mayhem surrounding a family Christmas.

Recently-widowed Beth was looking forward to a quiet Christmas, but her son Martin and sister-in-law Connie have other ideas. Martin tries to manage her like his father did, and Connie dives into the red wine. The cat has gone missing, Martin’s girlfriend is wilfully mute, and the vicar inadvertently conjures up the ghost of her late husband. Hardly a recipe for a happy Christmas.

Full cast, in order of appearance:
Beth Timms: Cressida Strauss
Connie Bunting: Imogen Measday
David Grinseed: Deesh Mariwala
Martin Timms: Chris Wakem
Ella Packer: Georgie Parren
Gordon Timms: Jim Simpson

“I chose this play because I was drawn to the quiet humour, and to Beth’s discovery of her own strength and the charms of independence. The provenance of the ghost (ghosts?) and the fate of Wagstaff have proved fruitful grounds for discussion.” – Bryony Wilman, Director
