Sacred and secular choral music celebrating love on the day after Valentine's Day. Our varied programme will include a unique, reworded version of Zelenka's Miserere, Purcell - If love's a sweet passion, Rutter - My true love hath my heart, Holst - I love my love and My sweetheart's like Venus, Carter (arr.) - I would be true, Jonathan Dove - My love is mine, Gjeilo - A spotless rose, Pearsall - Who shall have my lady fair? and No, no, Nigella, and more... We will be joined for this informal musical evening by Paul Edmund-Davies, former Principal Flute with the London Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra. He will be playing Debussy's beautiful Syrinx, Bozza's Aria and Andy Scott's And Everything is Still (from the CD The Bad Tempered Flute!)
