The year is 1956 and Philip Larkin, one of England’s most famous post-war poets, arrives in Hull as the University Librarian.  Over the next thirty years his life will be dominated by three women.  Ben Brown’s play is a fascinating look at this intriguing poet and his complicated relationships.  Despite his selfishness, these three women were drawn to Larkin’s dry wit and stayed loyal to him to the end.  In this funny and touching play we see behind the facade of Larkin to gain an insight into his complex private life.
