Richmond Film Society – screening of 'A Man Called Ove' (Sweden)
24 Apr 2018
PLEASE NOTE OUR CHANGE OF VENUE. From January 2018, we have been screening all our films at 'The Exchange', a new community facility opposite Twickenham Station. Its address is The Exchange, 75 London Road, Twickenham, TW1 1BE.
Its amenites include a very comfortable, tiered 300 seat theatre, an onsite bar and a cafe.
Short-listed for the 2017 Foreign Language Oscar, A Man called Ove is an adaptation of Fredric Backman’s novel. Ove is the archetypal angry old man who spends his days enforcing block association rules and visiting his wife’s grave. After reaching a life changing decision, an unlikely friendship develops and life takes a new path.
A funny, tragic and heart-warming transformation of an angry, solitary and regimented old man.
Tickets are available on the night for non-members at £6 (£4 full-time students).
Please come along and join us at The Exchange.
