FREE FIRST WORLD WAR DANCE EVENT: Celebrating the East Twickenham Belgian Refugees.
22 Jul 2017
One performance at 1:30 & one at 15:00
'Memories Flow Through Me Like a Boat Flows Down the River'
Award winning choreographer, Jennifer Irons, has been inspired by the unique and almost forgotten stories of the Belgian refugees who settled in the heart of the East Twickenham community during the First World War. A new, evocative piece of site-specific theatre has been created from these stories, bringing to life this remarkable chapter of local history. This wonderful, free event will be performed near the site of the former Pelabon Munitions Works where many of the refugees worked.
Presented by Richmond Arts Service and Orleans House Gallery
