An Arts Richmond Event
Visit to Spencer House and Queen's Gallery
Monday 25 September 2017
Here is your chance to visit both the Canaletto and the Art of Venice exhibition at The Queen's Gallery, and have a guided tour of Spencer House. Both are within easy walking distance of each other.
Spencer House was recognised as one of the most ambitious aristocratic town houses ever built in London and is the city's only great 18thC private palace to survive intact. This magnificent aristocratic palace has regained its full splendour after a 10 year restoration. We are able to visit 8 State Rooms (all fully accessible). You will have time to go to a café (not included in price) or bring a sandwich to eat in the park before visiting The Queen's Gallery. The Royal Collection contains the world's finest group of paintings, drawings and prints by Venice's most famous painter, Canaletto (1697-1768), and others.
Address: 27 St James's Pl, St. James's, London SW1A 1NR
